Former house and studio of architect Victor Horta in Saint-Gilles, built between 1898 and 1901 as two internally connected buildings, an Art Nouveau masterpiece featuring a central staircase lit by a large skylight and mosaics extending from floor to door handles. Classified as protected heritage in 1963 and opened as a museum in 1969, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2000 among Horta's major town houses.
