Museum opened in 1987 in Namur, the painter and engraver Félicien Rops's native city, in a neoclassical townhouse expanded between 1996 and 2003. It holds around 270 of his caricatures, engravings, watercolours and paintings, including Pornocratès (1878), tracing his path from satirical illustration to Symbolism.
