Natural history museum in Mons founded in 1839, one of the oldest in Belgium. Its collection of over 10,000 zoological specimens includes the Yernaux collection of mounted birds and mammals and the skeleton of Julius Koch, reputed the tallest man in the world in the early 20th century at 2.56 metres.
