Museum on the Erasme campus of the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Anderlecht, founded in 1993 and opened to the public in 1995. Its seven rooms display some 4,000 to 5,000 objects tracing the history of medicine, from anatomical wax models and 19th-century papier-mâché anatomical figures to surgical instruments and artefacts from Egyptian, Chinese and pre-Columbian medical traditions.
