Belgian army-run military history site in Bastogne, on the grounds of the former Heintz barracks that served as headquarters for General Anthony McAuliffe during the December 1944 Battle of the Bulge, where he is said to have given his defiant "Nuts!" reply to a German surrender demand. Underground casemates and a vehicle restoration hall display armour, weapons and equipment from the siege.
