Museum complex in Liège, opened in March 2009, merging five former collections devoted to archaeology and decorative arts, religious and Mosan art, weapons, glass and Egyptology. Housed across four historic buildings including the Palais Curtius, built from 1597 to 1605 for merchant Jean Curtius, it holds over 100,000 objects spanning 7,000 years, among them a Neanderthal skull found at Engis and around 10,000 pieces of glass.
