UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000, comprising some 100 hectares of Neolithic flint-extraction shafts near Mons, worked between roughly 4300 and 2200 BC. Visitors can explore the underground galleries and the SILEX'S interpretation centre, opened in 2015, along with the archaeological museum at Camp-à-Cayaux.
