Château built from 1754 for the abbé Terray, later controller-general of finances under Louis XV, and kept in the same family until 1972. Entirely refurnished in the 20th century by the Marquise de Maillé, who bequeathed it with its 1,000-hectare estate to the state, on condition that it remain furnished but unlived in.
