Set in the Vieux Château of Fort Royal on the Île Sainte-Marguerite, built in the 17th century over Roman cisterns. Created in 1977 as the Musée de la Mer and renamed in 2020, it presents the state prisons built under Louis XIV, Roman frescoes, and the finds of land and underwater excavations.
