學院1998年由讓-路易·莫邦（Jean-Louis Maubant）1978年創立的「新博物館」，與隆河阿爾卑斯大區當代藝術區域基金會合併而成。機構兼具藝術中心與公共收藏雙重角色，館藏近1,750件作品——阿利吉耶羅·波提（Alighiero Boetti）、丹尼爾·布罕（Daniel Buren）、尤那·弗里德曼（Yona Friedman）等，並在整個大區內巡迴展出。
