비테르보 인근의 에트루리아 도시였다가 로마 시대 도시가 된 페렌티움의 유적으로, 제정 초기에 자치도시로 번영하고 황제 오토의 출생지이기도 했으나 1172년 인근 비테르보에 의해 파괴되었다. 유적지에는 잘 발굴되어 지금도 여름 공연에 쓰이는 로마 극장과 포룸, 목욕장, 원형경기장의 흔적이 남아 있다.
