Dreux's museum of art and history, housed in the home of Maurice Viollette, mayor of the town from 1908 to 1959 and a former governor-general of Algeria. Its collections combine archaeology, medieval stained glass and sculpture from the Collégiale Saint-Étienne, and 19th-century paintings, including a study of wisteria by Claude Monet.
