Founded in 1833, the museum has been housed since 1939 in the former episcopal palace, listed as a historic monument in 1906, whose buildings date from the 13th, 17th and 18th centuries. It holds Renaissance and 18th-century paintings, Léonard Limosin's series of enamel apostles, and Oceanic collections.
