Founded in 2000 by the Sète-born artist Hervé Di Rosa and the collector Bernard Belluc, the MIAM occupies a former wine warehouse redesigned by the architect Patrick Bouchain. It champions "modest art": toys, figurines, manufactured or homemade objects, at the crossroads of art brut, naive art and popular art.
