Museum opened in 1986 beside the site of Lattara, an ancient port frequented by the Etruscans and Greeks, occupied from the 6th century BC to the Roman period and rediscovered in 1963 by Henri Prades. Ceramics, glassware, metal objects and funerary monuments tell the story of seven centuries of trade in the north-western Mediterranean.
