Set up in the Vieux Moulin, a mill built in 1626 on the Meuse whose façades have been listed since 1981, the museum opened in 1969. It preserves original manuscripts, including Voyelles, along with photographs, letters and objects brought back from Africa, largely from the collection donated in 1954 by Henri Matarasso.
