A fortification in Reims' defensive ring, built from 1880 to 1883 under the Séré de Rivières system, the fort was the linchpin of the city's defence during the First World War. Now a museum, it holds weapons, uniforms and trench artefacts, as well as more than 300 German military headdresses from the former Charles Friese collection.
