Housed on the first floor of the Vieille Charité, a former Marseille almshouse built in the 17th and 18th centuries to plans by Pierre Puget. It holds France's second-largest Egyptian collection, drawn mainly from the cabinet of Doctor Clot-Bey, alongside a survey devoted to Mesopotamia, Cyprus, Greece, Etruria and Rome.
