Birthplace of Pierre Corneille, born on 6 June 1606 on Rue de la Pie, where the playwright lived for fifty-six years. Opened in 1920 and inaugurated the following year after restoration led by the architect Georges Ruel, the museum displays first editions, engravings and documents given in 1917 by the bibliophile Édouard Mélite.
