Founded in the late 19th century by the Natural History Society of Loir-et-Cher, the museum has been housed since 1983 in the former Couvent des Jacobins, whose buildings date back to the 13th century. Its collections of animals, fossils, herbarium specimens and minerals shed light on the Blaisois, a crossroads of natural regions.
