A former 12th-century fortified house built on an islet in the Thiou, in the heart of Annecy's old town. In turn a lord's residence, a courthouse and a prison, it now offers a tour of the history and heritage of the Annecy basin; courtrooms, cells and a chapel are open to visitors.
