The former residence and studio of Norwegian-American sculptor Hendrik Christian Andersen (1872–1940), who settled in Rome and, on his death, bequeathed the building — known as Villa Hélène, on Via Pasquale Stanislao Mancini near Piazzale Flaminio — along with more than 400 of his works to the Italian state. The museum displays his monumental sculptures, paintings, and models for his unrealized project for an ideal 'World City,' developed with the architect Ernest Hébrard.
