Art gallery in Modena's Palazzo dei Musei, founded in 1854 by Francesco V of Austria-Este and moved to its present home in 1894. Built on the collections of the Este dukes of Ferrara and Modena, depleted when Francesco III sold around a hundred paintings to Augustus III of Poland in 1746 and further reduced by Napoleonic seizures, it holds paintings from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century by Correggio, Velázquez, El Greco and Titian, along with Bernini's marble bust of Francesco I d'Este.
