Archaeological museum opened in 2019 to display ancient ships discovered in 1998 during construction work at Pisa's San Rossore station, where nine catastrophic floods over twelve centuries had buried around thirty vessels dating from the 2nd century BC to the 7th century AD, together with more than 13,000 amphorae. It occupies the Arsenali Medicei, historic shipyards built for the galleys of the Knights of Santo Stefano.
