教堂俯瞰阿布鲁佐马萨达尔贝的阿尔巴富肯斯罗马考古遗址，建于一座阿波罗神庙之上，12世纪初由本笃会修士重建为三殿式，皇帝虔诚者路易于866年确认了修士对该地的所有权。堂内保存着一座科斯玛提式讲道台和1215年的圣像屏，饰有绞绳形立柱和斑岩镶嵌；1915年阿韦扎诺地震中大部损毁，1955年至1957年间由拉斐尔·德洛古以近乎完整的原物归位法重建。
