Museum of Belgian history in Brussels, opened in 2005 in the Hôtel Belle-Vue, built in 1776 as a luxury hotel and later a royal residence for Leopold II from 1905 to 1934. Nine rooms trace the country's history since 1830 through documents, objects and audiovisual testimony, and underground passages lead to the remains of the former Coudenberg Palace, destroyed by fire in 1731.
