Natural history museum in Brussels, created by royal decree in 1846 and installed since 1891 in Leopold Park; part of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, it holds some 38 million specimens, including the iguanodon skeletons unearthed at Bernissart in 1878, displayed in the world's largest dinosaur gallery, opened in 2007.
