Museum established in 1911 following the success of a military exhibition at the 1910 Brussels World's Fair, occupying some 40,000 square metres in Cinquantenaire Park since 1923, including the 1880 Bordiau Hall and the 1897 Air Hall. Its collections span twelve centuries of military history, from medieval weaponry to the aircraft and tanks of the two World Wars.
