Former Couriot mine shaft, the main extraction site of the Loire coal basin, worked from 1913 until its closure in 1973 and overlooked by its slag heaps. Turned into a museum in 1991, it preserves the pit-workers' changing room, the lamp room and the winding machinery, and offers visits to a reconstructed gallery.
