Urban complex designed by Le Corbusier for the Firminy-Vert district from 1954 onward, at the invitation of the mayor Eugène Claudius-Petit: a house of culture, a stadium, a unité d'habitation housing block and the church of Saint-Pierre. It is the largest ensemble built to his plans in Europe; the church, work on which stopped in 1978, was completed in 2006.
