Ecomuseum opened in 1987 on the Bintinais farm, a former 62-hectare estate south of Rennes. Its exhibition traces the evolution of the Rennes region since the 12th century through agriculture and rural life; the estate maintains nineteen local animal breeds and orchards of heirloom varieties.
