The museum occupies the Maison Rouge silk mill, France's first industrial silk-spinning mill and the last in the country to close, in 1965. Opened to the public in 2018, it presents the 10,000 objects gathered by Daniel Travier on everyday life, agriculture, livestock farming and crafts in the Cévennes valleys.
