National museum of society devoted to the anthropology of the European and Mediterranean worlds, inaugurated in 2013 when Marseille was European Capital of Culture. It occupies, at the entrance to the Vieux-Port, a building by Rudy Ricciotti, linked by footbridge to Fort Saint-Jean, and inherited the collections of the former National Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions.
