Museum created in 1832 from the collections of Burgundian learned societies, housed since 1934 in the main wing of the former abbey of Saint-Bénigne, where it occupies the monks' Gothic dormitory and the Romanesque hall. It preserves the wooden votive offerings dedicated to the goddess Sequana at the source of the Seine, and a head of Christ by Claus Sluter.
