Housed in the Hôtel Lantin, a mansion built in 1663-1664 near the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, the museum holds the collection assembled between 1881 and 1935 by Maurice Magnin and his sister Jeanne, bequeathed to the state in 1939. French, Italian and Northern European paintings are displayed in the setting of a collector's cabinet.
