Former residence of the bishops of Angers, first mentioned in 1025 and rebuilt between 1448 and 1465 by Jean de Beauvau after the Hundred Years' War. Bequeathed to the city of Angers in 2003 by the collector Daniel Duclaux, it displays more than nine hundred works: medieval sculpture, tapestries, ceramics and manuscripts.
