Municipal museum opened to the public in 1801, heir to the cabinet of natural history assembled during the Revolution from collections seized across the Maine-et-Loire. Its holdings comprise around 830,000 objects, including mounted birds, shells, fossils, insects, minerals and hundreds of thousands of herbarium sheets.
