Housed in the former Hôpital Saint-Jean, founded in the late 12th century, whose patients' hall with its Angevin vaulting has held Le Chant du monde since 1968, a suite of ten tapestries woven by Jean Lurçat from 1957 to 1966. The museum also presents contemporary textile art, with works by Thomas Gleb and Josep Grau-Garriga.
