Founded in 1861 and housed since 1891 in a former Templar commandery whose octagonal chapel dates from the 12th century. It brings together European paintings from the 15th to the 19th century, regional archaeology, and a collection of nearly 1,700 Mediterranean antiquities, one of the largest in France after the Louvre's.
