Opened in 1965, the Chaumont museum occupies seven rooms of the 13th- and 14th-century palace of the counts of Champagne, along with the nineteen-metre keep that served as a prison until 1886. It brings together regional archaeology, medieval sculpture, paintings, and a collection devoted to the glove-making industry of Haute-Marne.
