Devoted to French violin- and bow-making, of which Mirecourt is the birthplace, this museum, opened in 1973, occupies a former drying shed for lutherie wood on the banks of the Madon. It holds more than three hundred bowed and plucked string instruments, as well as workshop tools, raw materials and archives.
