Set in the Citadel of Corte, a former 15th-century château fortified in the 18th century, this regional museum of anthropology opened in June 1997 in a building designed by the architect Andrea Bruno. It draws on some three thousand objects of traditional Corsica gathered by Father Louis Doazan, a pioneer of the island's ethnography.
