Founded in 1923 by Father Henri Watthé, a Lazarist missionary, this museum occupies an 1881 building that once housed a hydrotherapy establishment and later the Vichy water-testing laboratory. Its collections, born of missionaries' gifts, bring together African ritual objects and masks and the arts of East and South-East Asia.
