Stronghold fortified in 1467 by Charles Motier de La Fayette, remodelled in the 19th century in neo-Gothic taste by Joseph de Pierre and his wife Marie-Pauline Onslow. Bequeathed to the state in 1954, the château preserves furniture and tapestries spanning the 15th to 19th centuries.
