Created by the regional association of windmill enthusiasts and opened in 1995, the museum is set beside two windmills re-erected on the site, including the Moulin des Olieux, an oil mill built in Flanders in 1743. It traces the history of milling, from Neolithic querns to modern roller mills, and the trades attached to it.
