A building in an Oriental-inspired style topped by a belvedere tower, designed by the architect Jean-Jacques Latour for the botanist Placide Massey, who bequeathed his garden and this unfinished building to Tarbes on his death in 1853. It houses the International Museum of the Hussars, more than 15,000 pieces covering four centuries and some thirty countries.
