A 17th-century mansion next to the cathedral and the botanical garden, bequeathed to the city by Monsieur and Madame Quesnel-Morinière, its former owners; the museum was founded there in 1868 and opened in 1874. Its roughly 5,000 pieces bring together Norman paintings, religious sculpture, archaeology and Cotentin ceramics.
