Roman town founded around the turn of the 1st century CE near modern Bene Vagienna, Piedmont, named after the Ligurian Bagienni. Excavated since 1896, the site preserves a forum with porticoed shops, a three-nave basilica, a theatre with quadriporticus, an amphitheatre and a paleochristian basilica of the 5th-6th centuries built over a temple.
