Remains of an early Christian basilica, partially uncovered in 1963 during roadworks in Trieste, built in two phases between the early 5th and early 6th century on a Latin-cross plan with a polygonal apse. A floor inscription referring to the 'Sancta Ecclesia Tergestina' attests to its role as a place of worship for the early Christian community of ancient Tergeste.
