A quadrangular castle with three cylindrical corner towers in the Molise hill town of Civitacampomarano, replacing an earlier 12th-century watchtower and dating, in its present form, largely to the 13th-century Angevin period. Its eastern facade bears the coat of arms of Paolo di Sangro; the interior preserves coffered ceilings and a courtyard with the Fountain of the Fauns, and the castle, declared a national monument in 1979 and bought by the state in 1988, now serves as a museum.
